“Savor Wilton Manors” which will combine tastings from Wilton Manors restaurants with fun facts about the rich history of the “Island City”. Led by local food writer, Rick Karlin, “Savor Our City™ Wilton Manors” will take local foodies and visitors alike behind the scenes into the hottest restaurants and specialty food shops, where they are introduced to delicious savory treasures and sweet gems – one bite at a time.
Wilton Manors has such a diverse and vibrant dining scene. The 3 hour walking tour will include signature bites from select restaurants and gourmet specialty shops such as The Naked Grape, New York Grilled Cheese Company, Dolce Salato, To The Moon Marketplace and JP’s Chocolates with restaurateurs, chefs and shop owners meeting with the group to introduce their businesses and menus. In between bites, the tour will stop in at local cultural and historical landmarks while enjoying engaging narratives about the rich history of the “Island City”, from its beginnings in the 1920s through its resurgence and revitalization in the 1980s up to its vibrant present.
The first tour will take place on Wednesday, July 1st from 6-9pm with monthly tours planned for the first Wednesday of each month (with rotating restaurants) through the summer. Group size is limited to 20 guests.
