Take your cooking to the next level with the classes and demonstrations we offer at Savor Our City. We pair you with awesome local chefs who will teach you the basics to the advanced in a hands-on class, or if you prefer, you can watch as the chef amazes you with cooking techniques not often found in your usual home kitchens.
We are able to bring the chef into your home, or we can help to find a suitable venue as well. Cooking classes can focus on technique and skills, and they can also be themed, i.e., healthy Mediterranean cooking, French, Italian. We will gladly customize the class to suit your needs.

Culinary Experiences

Hands-on style: Our hands-on style cooking classes are perfect for those looking to hone in on their culinary skills. You and your guests will be the ones preparing and executing your 4 course chosen menu selections as our chefs guide you step-by-step through each recipe. Once all the courses have been prepared, participants will enjoy the fruits of their labor, served buffet style, along with wine or beer that has been handpicked by our chefs and in-house wine specialists.

Competition style (teambuilding):
“Chopped” or “Iron Chef” style
Your group will be welcomed by our chef and his/her staff and given a brief overview of how the activity will flow. They will then be divided into 2 teams. Each team will be given a basket of mystery ingredients and along with the available pantry and refrigerated items, they will work together to come up with a cohesive dish and then execute it (with some assistance from our professional chefs) within the given time allotted. Once the cooking challenge is completed, each team will present their dish to a panel of judges who will score on a number of criteria. Once the results are tabulated, a winning team will be announced.
While the teams are doing their activity, our chefs are preparing a scrumptious four course meal served with wine and/or beer that was pre selected for all to enjoy.

Most classes last approximately 2–3 hours.

The minimum is 6 guests, and the maximum is only limited to the size of the venue.

All the equipment and groceries will be supplied by the instructor.

Yes, our chefs can accommodate most dietary restrictions when provided with this info in advance.

Our classes can be held in private homes or commercial kitchens. Please let us know if you’d like us to help find a venue.

Comfortable clothes with fitted sleeves. Please wear flat, comfortable closed-toed shoes. You must secure any long hair. Hands-on classes will require you to stand for most of the duration of the class.

As every class is customized, the number of recipes prepared will vary from class to class. On average, there will be at least 4 recipes prepared.
