A new app conveniently organizes the best restaurants, nightlife and services in Delray Beach. The Best Of Delray Beach/Best Of Local app (bestoflocal.app.link) allows residents and visitors to easily view menus, make reservations and order takeout/delivery from more than 250 local eateries. Users can also discover the best bars, music venues, theaters, and other local attractions. The app is available through the App Store and Google Play by downloading Best Of Local, a network of hyperlocal, trusted guides curated by local experts.
Best of Local founder and CEO Stephen Dickstein says he began developing the app after moving to Delray Beach from L.A., when he kept hearing the same questions about finding the best dining and local destinations from his real estate clients. |

“The quality of life is extraordinary here, and the sense of civic pride and passion for local knowledge is palpable,” Dickstein says. “We’re delighted to see that users are finding the BEST OF LOCAL app easier to navigate and more trustworthy than yelp and other research tools.”
Billed as "Your Best Life Made Simple," the free app features easy-to-use touchpoints, business descriptions and navigational maps. The launch version also includes hotels, museums and transportation listings, along with a Facebook community chat platform that already has attracted almost 6,000 users.
More features and categories will be released in coming weeks, including an events calendar, contest giveaways, and more than 1,500 business listings for home, lifestyle and professional services, real estate, kids' activities and pet services.
"Restaurants and bars can't pay to be listed -- the eating categories are based strictly on merit," says Mike Mayo, former food critic for the South Florida Sun Sentinel, co-creator of the “Let’s Eat, South Florida” Facebook group, and now content director for Best of Delray Beach. "We're also proud to introduce Best Of The Best -- a listing of the top culinary spots around town that will be awarded annually to those that embody the very best Delray Beach has to offer." |
